Ghida Fakhry has been conducting sit-down interviews with Heads of State and Government, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, top UN and US administration officials since the beginning of her career. Over the last twenty years, she has interviewed the leaders of Iran, Afghanistan, Israel, Palestine, Bolivia, Ireland, Lebanon, Iraq and Pakistan among others. She sat down with the Libyan leader, Muammar Qaddafi, during his last visit to the UN in New York. Here are a few excerpts of some of her interviews:

The Afghan President sits down with Ghida Fakhry during a visit to the US in September 2007 to discuss the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan, efforts to convince troop-contributing countries to remain in the country and whether or not to engage in talks with the Taliban.
